Scones

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 5 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 to 1 cup of dried, frozen, or fresh  fruit (raspberries, blueberries, cranberries)


Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.

Cut or grate in butter.

Mix in heavy cream.

Add fruit and mix in gently. Pat dough into a floured cake pan or pat into a round. Cut into fourths, then eights.

Place the cut scones on a lightly greased cookie sheet or parchment paper, leaving space between them.

Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown - about 15 minutes.



Drizzle with icing if you want. Just mix around a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar with milk or half and half until it is runny enough to drizzle over the top.
